Austin Auto Insurance has advised car owners to take a look at the factors that affect auto insurance rates. Insurance firms look at various aspects while deciding on the auto insurance premiums. So, car owners have to keep themselves updated on these issues if they wish to avail cheap or affordable auto insurance.

Every individual will be charged different auto insurance rates depending on a number of factors. According to the Independent Insurance Agents and Brokers of Arizona the senate bill 1165, which has been authored by Representative John Kavanagh, has been drafted to identify vehicles that have not reported the accurate vehicle identification number to the motor vehicle department of Arizona. If you are currently a smoker, be prepared to pay more for your life insurance policy. While life insurance underwriters base your premiums on a variety of factors including your age, gender and lifestyle, people who smoke regularly usually pay at least 50 percent more than individuals who are smoke-free.

Insurance companies charge higher premiums to individuals who have health conditions or risk factors that increase their chance of death. No matter how old you are or whether you are male or female, smoking tobacco increases the risk of death.

A group of Idaho House members are proposing that the state set up an online car insurance verification database that would allow police and other government officials to quickly see whether residents have the proper coverage required under state law.

Providers of Idaho auto insurance would feed policy information into the database, and all of that information would get matched up with data on every vehicle registered in the state.

If the database shows registration data for a vehicle but no matching insurance policy, the vehicle owner is liable to get a citation when pulled over by police, who would have 24-7 access to information contained in the database.

Information in the database would also be accessible to the Department of Transportation, the Department of Insurance and the courts.

The current penalties for driving uninsured in the state of Idaho are a $75 fine for a first offense, and up to a $1,000 fine for subsequent offenses that occur within five years.

The authors write in the bills statement of purpose that the number of uninsured motorists on Idahos roadways is a rising concern.
